What it is

Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network built on the OP Stack and incubated by Coinbase. It is the primary on-chain settlement layer for Eigenstate's attestation contracts (chain ID 8453) and hosts a growing share of tokenized-asset and DeFi settlement flow.
